About Forestvale Station
Forestvale Station (we, us or our) is a family-owned farming business located near Miriam Vale in Central Queensland. We raise grass-fed and finished beef and pasture-raised lamb and supply our products directly to customers.
These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of the Forestvale Station website and to orders placed through our website or directly with us.
By accessing our website or placing an order with Forestvale Station, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. Please read them carefully before placing an order.

You must not use our website for any unlawful purpose, interfere with its operation or security, attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, or reproduce or commercially use our website content without our permission.
Unless otherwise stated, all content on our website, including photographs, text, graphics, logos, branding and other material, is owned by or licensed to Forestvale Station and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, security or privacy practices of those third parties.
Orders and Acceptance
All orders are subject to availability.
Submitting an order or enquiry does not guarantee availability or constitute acceptance of your order. Your order is confirmed once you receive confirmation from Forestvale Station.
Because we raise livestock rather than manufacture standardised products, availability, processing dates, weights and quantities may vary.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where a product is unavailable, incorrect information or pricing has been published, or circumstances outside our reasonable control prevent us from fulfilling the order.
If we cancel an order for which you have already paid, we will refund the amount paid for the cancelled product.
Beef and Lamb Orders
Forestvale Station offers beef and lamb in various quantities and formats, which may include whole, half, quarter or smaller shares and other packaged products as advertised from time to time.
Availability and processing dates are subject to livestock readiness, seasonal conditions, processing schedules, butcher availability and other operational considerations.
As our products come from individual animals, there will naturally be variations in carcass weight, meat yield, size, appearance and the quantity of individual cuts received.
Product photographs and examples provided on our website or social media are illustrative only. Your order may differ from photographs or previous orders.
Dressed Weight and Meat Yield
Where beef or lamb is sold based on dressed weight, the purchase price is calculated using the dressed weight of the relevant animal or portion of the animal.
Dressed weight, sometimes referred to as carcass weight or hook weight, is the weight of the animal after slaughter and initial processing and includes the meat, fat and bone forming the carcass.
Dressed weight is not the same as the weight of the packaged meat you will receive.
During butchering, portions of the carcass are removed or reduced through trimming, deboning, cutting and preparation. The final amount of packaged meat will therefore be less than the dressed weight used to calculate your purchase price.
Any estimated weights provided when you place your order are estimates only. Actual dressed weights cannot be guaranteed and may vary between animals and, where relevant, between portions of an animal.
We will confirm the applicable dressed weight and final purchase price once this information becomes available following processing.
By placing a weight-based order, you acknowledge and accept that the final weight, total purchase price and amount of packaged meat received may vary from initial estimates.
Cut Selections
Where available, customers purchasing bulk beef or lamb may be given the opportunity to select how particular cuts are prepared or packaged.
Cut selections must be provided by the date requested by Forestvale Station or our butcher.
If we do not receive your selections by the required date, we may use our standard cut and packaging selections so that processing can proceed.
While we and our butcher will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your selections, particular cuts, quantities, thicknesses or packaging requests cannot always be guaranteed due to the size and characteristics of the individual carcass.
The way you choose to have your animal butchered will also affect the quantity and type of packaged meat you ultimately receive.
Pricing
All prices are stated in Australian dollars (AUD).
GST will be applied where required by Australian law.
For products sold at a fixed price, the price applicable to your order will be the price confirmed when your order is accepted.
For products sold by dressed weight, the final price will be calculated by multiplying the applicable dressed weight by the agreed price per kilogram.
Any total price provided before processing is an estimate only unless expressly stated otherwise.
We reserve the right to change our prices from time to time. Changes will not affect an order that has already been confirmed at an agreed price, unless otherwise agreed with you.
Deposits and Payment
A deposit may be required to secure your order. The applicable deposit amount will be displayed or communicated to you at the time of ordering.
Where a deposit is required, your order may not be secured until the deposit has been received.
For weight-based orders, the outstanding balance will be calculated once the final dressed weight is known. We will contact you before collection or delivery to confirm your order weight and the outstanding amount payable.
Unless otherwise agreed with Forestvale Station, payment must be made in full before collection or delivery.
Payments may be made using the payment methods offered by Forestvale Station.
Where payments are processed by a third-party payment provider, that provider may collect and process your payment information in accordance with its own terms and privacy policy. Forestvale Station does not necessarily receive or store your complete payment card details.
Collection and Delivery
Available collection and delivery options will be communicated when you place or confirm your order.
Any collection or delivery dates provided are estimates and may change due to processing schedules, weather, livestock, transport availability or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
If a delivery fee applies, this will be communicated to you before your order is finalised or delivery is arranged.
For deliveries, it is your responsibility to ensure that someone is available to receive the order at the agreed location and time or that suitable arrangements have been agreed with us beforehand.
We will take reasonable steps to notify you of significant changes to an agreed collection or delivery arrangement.
Perishable Products and Food Storage
Our beef and lamb products are perishable and must be appropriately refrigerated or frozen after collection or delivery.
Once you have received your order, you are responsible for safely handling, storing and preparing the product in accordance with appropriate food safety practices.
Forestvale Station is not responsible for deterioration or spoilage caused by improper handling, storage or temperature control after the product has been collected by or delivered to the customer.
Product Quality and Problems With Your Order
We take pride in the quality of our livestock and products and want you to be happy with your Forestvale order.
If you believe there is a problem with your order, including a product that is damaged, defective or incorrectly supplied, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible after receiving it. Photographs and other information may be requested to help us assess the issue.
Because our products are perishable, we generally cannot accept returns simply because you change your mind after receiving your order.
Where there is a genuine issue with a product, we will assess the circumstances and provide an appropriate remedy, which may include replacement, credit or refund.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Changes and Cancellations
If you need to change or cancel an order, please contact Forestvale Station as soon as possible.
Where an order has not yet entered processing, we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate changes or cancellations.
For bulk beef or lamb orders, deposits may become non-refundable once livestock has been committed for processing, processing has commenced, or the applicable cancellation deadline communicated at the time of ordering has passed.
Where possible, we may transfer your deposit to a future order or find another customer for the allocated product. Any such arrangement will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
If Forestvale Station needs to cancel your order and cannot provide a reasonable alternative, amounts you have paid for the cancelled product will be refunded.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected by this section.
Product Availability and Farming Conditions
Forestvale Station is a working farm and our products are dependent on livestock, seasonal and environmental conditions.
From time to time, drought, rainfall, livestock health, processing availability, transport disruptions, natural disasters or other circumstances outside our reasonable control may affect product availability or anticipated processing and delivery dates.
Where this occurs, we will communicate with affected customers as soon as reasonably practicable and work with you to arrange an alternative date, product or refund where appropriate.
Communications
By placing an order with Forestvale Station, you agree that we may contact you by email, phone, SMS or other communication methods you have provided for purposes relating to your order.
This may include order confirmations, cut sheet information, processing updates, final weights, payment reminders, collection or delivery arrangements and other information necessary to fulfil your order.
If you separately choose to receive marketing communications from Forestvale Station, you may unsubscribe from those communications at any time.
Privacy
Forestvale Station respects your privacy and handles personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We may collect and use personal information where reasonably necessary to process orders, receive payments, arrange collection or delivery, communicate with customers and operate our business.
Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further information about how we collect, use, store and disclose personal information.
Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy available to you under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable legislation where it would be unlawful to do so.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Forestvale Station is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of our website or purchase of our products.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including rights and remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
Changes to These Terms
